Introduction
At Wainuiomata High we would like to see every student participating in at least one sporting activity, either at school or through a sporting organisation.
In this booklet we are attempting to provide some basic information so students will know what is involved in each activity, what costs there will be and what time commitment is required before joining a team. Students in consultation with their parent/caregivers can then make an informed choice about what they will do.
Our suggestion is that a student can manage at least one sporting activity in each summer or winter season and still complete the required homework as well as family activities.
If a student registers and pays for a sport, but for some reason the High School is not able to cater for them, then the fee will be refunded. Refunds will not be provided to students once a team has been entered into a competition or who drop out of a team part way through a season.
Good luck with your sport this year, I look forward to supporting you. I hope you enjoy yourselves.
